Company: Funky Dodo Limited, the operator of this villa rental service.
Guest/Renter: The individual or party booking the villa.
Property: The villa and any associated facilities available for rent.
Booking/Reservation: The confirmed rental period agreed upon by Funky Dodo Limited and the Guest.
Guests must complete an online or written booking form and provide valid identification and contact details.
An advance payment (typically 20–50% of the total rental cost) is required to secure the reservation.
The remaining balance is due upon check-in.
Accepted methods include credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and other specified payment options.
A booking confirmation email or WhatsApp message will be sent once the deposit is received.
Reservations are not finalized until confirmation is received.
Cancellations made more than 14 days before the check-in date will be eligible for a refund of any prepaid balance.
Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival may forfeit a portion or all of the rental fees.
Refunds will be processed within 21 business days after receiving the cancellation notice, subject to applicable cancellation fees.
In events such as natural disasters or government actions, cancellation policies may be adjusted at Funky Dodo Limited’s discretion.
In the unlikely event that Funky Dodo Limited must cancel a reservation, a full refund will be issued or an alternative property offered, subject to Guest agreement.
A “no show” occurs when the Guest fails to arrive on the check-in date without prior notice.
In the event of a no show, any payments made will be forfeited, and the rental period will be deemed fully consumed.
No refunds or alternative dates will be offered unless previously arranged.
Check-In Time: After 14:00 (Early check-in may be available upon request, subject to availability.)
Check-Out Time: By 12:00 (Late check-out may incur additional charges.)
Property Access: Detailed instructions will be provided in the booking confirmation.
Inspection: Guests are advised to inspect the property upon arrival and report any discrepancies immediately.
Occupancy:
Maximum of 6 guests in a 3-bedroom villa
Maximum of 4 guests in a 2-bedroom villa
Additional guests may incur extra charges
Conduct:
Guests must respect the property, neighbours, and local community guidelines.
Parties or events are not authorized.
No Pets Policy:
No pets are allowed on the premises under any circumstances.
Evidence of pet presence will result in immediate termination of the rental agreement and forfeiture of all payments.
Smoking:
Not permitted inside the property.
Guests may use designated outdoor smoking areas if provided.
Damage & Cleanliness:
Guests are responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear.
A refundable damage deposit may be collected prior to arrival.
Use of Amenities:
Guidelines for the use of additional facilities (e.g. pool) will be provided.
Guest Responsibility:
Guests assume full responsibility for any injury or damage incurred during their stay.
Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain appropriate travel or rental insurance.
Company Liability:
Funky Dodo Limited shall not be liable for personal injury, theft, or loss of personal property during the rental period.
Indemnification:
Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless Funky Dodo Limited from any claims arising from the use of the property.
Amendments:
Funky Dodo Limited reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
Any changes will be communicated in writing.
Breach:
Failure to comply with these terms may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement, forfeiture of payments, and possible legal action.
Governing Law:
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Mauritius.
Jurisdiction:
Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mauritius.
Data Collection:
Personal information collected during the booking process is used solely for processing reservations and related communications.
Data Protection:
Funky Dodo Limited ensures that all personal data is stored securely and in compliance with applicable privacy laws.
Entire Agreement:
These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between Funky Dodo Limited and the Guest.
Severability:
If any provision is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
